Oh dear. First a bunch of woowoo, new agey clunkily written observations about space between stars and smoky mirrors. Then we get to meet the 4 agreements. which have no practical applications, just explanations and directives. The…

Interesting concepts/belief system, not too dissimilar to what religions teach. If repetition is an effective tool in getting people to remember something then readers should be able to understand this author's beliefs.

beautiful illustrations. Well written and organized. However does not address the issue with current economic situation. Author talks about the "I have to go to work to pay my bills" but does not give any advice for things that people…

short enough to read in one sitting, relevant enough to reference in some fashion every single day, a must read, and for me, a must add to my collection

appreciate this book for its ability to cut through the noise of "live. laugh. love" type sentiments and offering words that are both life giving and non-pretentious. i'd say this is definitely part of the 'spiritual reading' canon and i…

Trying to help myself remember what the agreements are, I came up with IPAD. Impeccable in your word, don't take anything Personally, don't make Assumptions, always Do your best. Faith in these principles, along with determination,…

I’ve read this book twice because I loved it so much. Get ready to do some introspection when you read it though. It is a nice quick read that digs right in. The principles Miguel Ruiz writes about are easy to apply to your everyday life…

Needed to read every word. I’ll buy this book and go back to it often.

Great book which has an accompanying separate workbook with exercises. Also has several other books you may want to check out!

An easy to read book which has good ideas on how to approach each day. I have added several notes from this book which I read to myself to attempt to ingrain in my mind. Interesting section regarding the “domestication” of most folks’…

I was really looking forward to this book. I read it in one day since it's a very thin book. I felt glimpses of inspiration but there is nothing ground breaking or life changing in these pages. I usually take notes from the self help books…

A worthwhile little book – four simply told rules for living a caring and responsible life. And they’re reasonable commonsense rules …odd that we need to be reminded, but we do. I read it slowly over a few weeks, digesting, absorbing,…

Simple rules to live by but almost nobody does. I really liked the reminders this book offers and Ruiz wrote it in a way that not a single person can claim to 'not get it'. I'm not a fan of spiritual language and but I can get over myself…

This is one of my favorite books. It helps with communication and once that's mastered, I have found that my life has been simplified and less conflicted because of it. It should be required reading.

If you’ve read works by Deepak Chopra you’ll rest familiar with this book. The author has written other similar books but he bills this one as “a practical guide to personal freedom.” According to the publisher’s notes, “Don” Miguel, is a…

When my girlfriend told me about this book, I thought it sounded interesting. The four agreements, as she remembered them, were things that I had kind of already decided for myself. She thought it was a really good book, so I thought I'd…

I had to read this a few times to appreciate and I am glad I did. Some of the words I did not get due to cultural differences they had different connotations. I took what I understood and I applied it. I reread and looked up the words I…

I'm not big on self help books, so this was a simple, light, and brief introduction. The four points are some goals I'd like to apply to my daily life and I just ignored the religious parts.

I really enjoyed this book. A short easy reading and to understand. The hard part is actually commiting yourself to the agreements.
