It's been years since I've seen this but it has a wonderful cast and great acting. If you aren't familiar with the Shakespeare play the movie is based on (like myself), you may find it hard to follow, but it's worth watching. Beautiful…

a sun-filled version of a morally questionable play given the social conventions during the time of Shakespeare we presently find abhorrent, and highly objectionable - merciless slapstick at the expense of women

Novel to see so many Hollywood celebrities in 1 Shakespeare remake. Keanu Reeves, Emma Thompson, Kate Beckinsale, Denzel Washington, Michael Keaton, etc.

I'm probably one a very few people who did not like this movie at all. I don't like Emma Thompson and did not like her character. I just thought it was silly and the actors, with the exception of Denzel Washington, were really fake.

This movie is a lot of fun! Cast and characters are well-chosen, costumes are great, setting is beautiful. Kenneth Branagh is amazing, Michael Keaton is absolutely hilarious, Emma Thompson is so clever! Such a good movie and such a good…

When it came to this Shakespearean story's cast, it was firstly Micheal Keaton, then Keanu Reeves, and then Kenneth Branagh (in that order) who I'd say stank to the 10th, 9th, and 8th power.
As this film's story goes - Young lovers…

Being so aptly titled "Much Ado About Nothing" - Believe me, this artsy-fartsy film really was, pretty much, "about nothing" - At least, about nothing worthwhile, that is. Yeah. And, it was especially not about comedy, which is what it was…
O.K., what's going on? There is one comment who rated it 5 stars and yet the average rating is only 1 star! Was this done by a librarian or assistant who just didn't care for the movie and chose this way to show her/his displeasure?

One of the best adaptations of this Shakespeare comedy. Denzel Washington's brother is Keanu Reeves? Who cares? Just sit and enjoy

Generally I am not a fan of Shakespeare but this film adaptation of his play was exceptionally well done. There were touching moments, and comical moments too. Simply a very enjoyable film to watch.

Only saw the first part of the movie. Got bored right away. If you like the Bard and like snappy dialog, then this movie is for you. It just was not enough for me. By the way, there were quite a few butts in one of the first scenes. …

You'll enjoy seeing Claudio taking time off from "House" to star in this mostly-lovely Shakespeare comedy/romance. The sexism inherent in the judgmental attitudes over whether the lovely Hero is or isn't a virgin is unsettling by today's…
