A lawyer comes over and tells them that Cedric's grandfather (the lord) has ordered Cedric to England because all his children have died and Cedric is the only heir. The grandfather allows Cedric's mother to move to England as well but she must live in a Cottage not far from the Castle where Cedric and The lord live.
