Nick (not his real name) and his family are in the witness protection program and have been moved several times because his dad can't stay out of trouble. In Stepton, Virginia, Nick starts to make friends for the first time, but they start dying horrific deaths and he can't help but wonder if his father is involved. I had to stay up all night to finish this one.
This is a really fantastic thriller with lots of action, some mystery, high school drama, and an interesting organized crime gloss. I read it in one day, and really enjoyed the ride. It's particularly a great read if you like mysteries!
