Mary Poppins is like no other nanny the four Banks children have ever seen. She whirls into their home and "spit-spot," she works her inimitable brand of magic to make even the bland seem extraordinary. An endless source of fascinating adventure, she slides up the banister, produces an endless array of tricks from her empty carpetbag, and ensures their lives will never be the same.

I checked out this audiobook having been told that the book is so much better than the movie. My 10 and 11-year old kids, who LOVE audiobooks, were very disinterested. Maybe one of my other kids will like it. 😏

We loved these disks so much, we bought our own copy. Sophie Thompson does such a wonderful job of bringing all the characters to life. Some of my favourites are the butcher and the fishmonger, and the lion at the zoo - but every chapter has its own delights. Almost completely different from the movie and just as enjoyable, but in that completely different way! Engaging, delightful - highly recommended.

A wonderful collection of children's stories. Great for a long car ride.
