Aladdin is an orphan living on the streets of the city of Agrabah, continually outwitting and avoiding local law enforcement. One day he meets a young girl--also hiding from the guards--who is actually Princess Jasmine, seeking to escape from a disagreement with her father the Sultan about her marriage. He gallantly conceals her, and promptly falls in love. Soon, the Grand Vizier Jafar divines that Aladdin represents the key to his plans, and tricks him into the mysterious Cave of Wonders. Aladdin finds an ornate lamp, and, accidentally comes face-to-face with a blue genie--ready and willing to grant him three wishes. Aladdin, with the help of his sidekicks--a monkey named Abu and a flying carpet--seeks to win Jasmine's hand, defeat the evil Jafar and his vicious parrot, Iago, and save Agrabah. At the conclusion of his adventures, Aladdin learns that he is a prince where it truly matters most--on the inside.

Princess Jasmine wants to marry for love and see the world outside her palace. Her father the sultan wants her to marry a prince. Jafar wants to be sultan, Aladdin wants to be with Jasmine, and the genie wants to be free.
Comes in Spanish language too.

Any movie with Robin Williams turned loose while a plain old piece of carpeting trucks it on down, 'cuttin' a rug', YA GOTTA LIKE! This is a magic of Disney's that is too often overlook: the ability to take an inanimate object (a little whirlwind, a carpet, a Volkswagon Beetle) and through sheer pantomime or clever editing, give it life and a zany personality. Oh, and M00nM00n? Chill out, Moony! Ya pompous-ass 'political correctness' is showing! AND SMELLIN' UP THE JOINT!

That one time Disney took on the entire Arabic peninsula and insulted almost every part of it. Let’s begin with the sultan’s daughter dressed in a stereotypical harem outfit to attract horny suitors or to just irritate her bumbling, useless father. Speaking of which, he can’t even move without assistance and can’t make any decisions for himself. Bring in the creepy sorcerer, Harvey Weinstein, who lusts after the young scantily clad princess, and once he obtains power, enslaves her in Leia’s slave outfit and in a giant hourglass (bad body image anyone?). Let’s also point out the laughably incompetent palace guard who cruelty hunts down a starving orphan for funsies. And finally the only way to get noticed is to obtain a literal genie and wish for money and status to obtain the “prize” (aka. The princess). With all these men around her no wonder her best friend is a tiger.

Funny, childish, rather fast paced and very quickly sung and spoken; the mythic aspects are ludicrously overblown; almost all of the main characters are rip-offs of characters from "The Thief Of Baghdad", which was very annoying (one would think that with the resources of Disney they could afford to be a bit original). There is an overabundance of humour and a lack of wonder and sense of magic. There is included in the edition I got an incredibly large amount of bonus material.

The movie “Aladdin” is a marvellous Disney movie, with great detail. The animation of this movie was fantastic, the animation of this movie is very similar to the animation of multiple other Disney movies. Overall the animation of the background and characters was very well done with exceptional detail. The movie empathized emotion in different sections with a variety of bright and dark colours. The plot of this movie was very fascinating with a poor boy falling in love with the princess and making her notice him by using a genie to impress her. The ending of this movie amazing with Aladdin winning Jasmine’s heart by being himself and defeating the evil Jafar from taking over the Sultan. The emotion and mood which was used in this movie were displayed appropriately with a mix of anger, sadness, joy and suspense. I believe that this movie is enjoyable for all ages as it is quite appropriate for younger children and is still amusing for adults. Anyone who loves Disney or Romantic movies should definitely watch “Aladdin”.

Stereotypes aside, definently one of my favorite Disney movies.

Great movie and soundtrack!

The funniest, the best songs, the best non-pixar Disney movie ever!

Besides the religion problem, which was very brief, it was a very funny movie. Highly recommended. I did not watch the Bonus Features.
