"Donna Brazile's explosive book is the first insider account of the Russian hacking of the DNC and the missteps by the Clinton campaign and Obama administration that enabled Donald Trump's victory. In June 2016 the Washington Post first reported that Russian hackers had penetrated the Democratic National Committee. Barely a month later, these cyber criminals--which the U.S. government later confirmed as Russian intelligence operatives--posted thousands of damaging emails online. These documents seemed to confirm Bernie Sanders supporters' belief that the DNC had become a tool of the Clinton campaign well before the convention. The hacking's fallout was swift and devastating--and the attack wasn't even over. As chaos threatened to consume the party, Democrats turned to a familiar figure to right the ship: Donna Brazile. Known to millions from her frequent TV appearances, Brazile was no stranger to high stakes and dirty opponents. The longtime Democratic strategist had a reputation in Washington as a one-stop shop for fixing sticky problems. What Brazile found at the DNC, however, was unlike anything she had experienced before--and much worse than is commonly known. The party was beset by infighting, scandal, and hubris, while reeling from a brazen and wholly unprecedented attempt by a foreign power to influence the presidential election. Plus, its nominee, Hillary Clinton, faced an opponent who broke every rule in the political playbook. Packed with never-before-reported revelations about what went down in 2016, Hacks is a campaign thriller with vital lessons for anyone who cares about free and fair elections. Only by laying bare the missteps, miscalculations, and crimes of 2016, Brazile contends, will Americans be able to salvage their democracy."--Dust jacket flap.

Oh wow! A wonderfully honest look . . . HOLD IT!!!!!
Does the author/politician mention those two Pakistani programmers [who did various programming for various congress critters] who were indicted and halted from leaving the country?????
Shouldn't that most suspicious event have been covered? Especially since we have seen almost nothing about it in the PuppetMedia??????

Interesting take on the DNC. Especially about Hillary Clinton’s behavior and allocation of resources. Especially that she got access to the funds before being declared the candidate.

This is a must read for anyone interested in how our political parties function and also about the Russians interfering in our election and our lives. Donna does a great job of explaining the hacking, the process of raising money and deciding which campaigns get funded. She shows the dedication that few people have for our democracy and our way of life. She has a great sense of humor and calls a spade a spade in an entertaining manner.

I enjoyed this a lot more than I was expecting to considering all the hype. It's a fun read and very entertaining, even educational. It's especially interesting now that there is more (and less) information available to the general public.

Reading the reviews by the distinguished Kirkus and Publishers Weekly, all I can say ,with certainty, is Hack,Hack !! I will now cancel my hold, so that a person needing to fall in love may get this book a bit sooner.

A wonderfully honest look at the 2016 election. You will be alarmed! Prepare to fall in love with Donna Brazile by the end.
