Lots of excellent reviews for one of Kieslowski's masterpieces!

All I have to add is that, personally, I consider this to be the absolute best art ever to be put on TV; Followed closely by "Twin Peaks". Timeless and forever unique.

Enough praise has already been given; I can't add anything new to that. But this is a master's work.

Brilliant filmmaking. Deep, intelligent and beautifully shot... what else could one ask for?
All 10 episodes are worth watching for different reasons. I'm sorry it's over..

Really riveting. Watcher is surprised of having been questioning on deep subjects, without a given answer provided by the film maker. The door is left open to the spectator's interpretation, only directions are given. So you can experiment them, see where it takes you, or even create yours from what you have watch. May I suggest to watch the camera buff. It gives some keys on the way Kieslowski used to make his films.

Kieslowski, can convey so much with so little. A true master , that we lost too soon. He never could stop smoking.
Amazing to think that this project was for Polish Television, one interesting thing to add is to seek out the 2 slightly longer versions of two parts. A short film about Killing and A short film about Love.
I'm part Polish, maybe I'm biased.

Only watched half of the 10; maybe a bit too much "high art" for me...

Good acting, three very good stories. Some open to multiple interpretation.

Ten one-hour (approx.) stories loosely based on the Ten Commandments by Polish director Krzyztof Kieslowski. Despite the slightly grainy images (it was done for the Polish TV network many years back), this is a 'must-see' for serious film lovers and film students. The film was about the individual tenants in a high-rise apartment building, each facing their problems in life. If you have the patience you will find this film very rewarding.

intense, extraordinary stories, one for every one of the Ten Commandments, with performances of the vey highest order in each, plus a visual style throughout, with a palette of rich translucents - sapphires, rubies, emeralds, cast upon onyx to colour in the sensuality of night - that is utterly, and intoxicatingly, painterly, ten incontestable masterpieces
