"Scarlet March lives to hunt the Fenris--the werewolves that took her eye when she was defending her sister Rosie from a brutal attack. Armed with a razor-sharp hatchet and blood-red cloak, Scarlett is an expert at luring and slaying the wolves. She's determined to protect other young girls from a grisly death, and her raging heart will not rest until every single wolf is dead. Rosie March once felt her bond with her sister was unbreakable. Owing Scarlett her life, Rosie hunts ferociously alongside her. But even as more girls' bodies pile up in the city and the Fenris seem to be gaining power, Rosie dreams of a life beyond the wolves. She finds herself drawn to Silas, a young woodsman who is deadly with an ax and Scarlett's only friend--but does loving him mean betraying her sister and all that they've worked for?" --From the publisher.

Very enjoyable, even if I did guess the twist fairly early on (though I was never 100% sure).

Probably one of my favorite "easy" reads. This is the type of book that usually takes only a few hours to get through, and I would recommend for rainy, gloomy days, sick days or when you're feeling. It's an instant, light, mood lifter and is full of badass sisters taking down werewolves - or in this novel's world, fenris. With a cute, light-hearted romance and a feminist view point, this book is an absolute treat. I recommend all of Jackson Pearce's fairytale retellings as they have all been great so far!

Really good and engrossing book. I read it in one sitting because I just couldn't put it down. The cover looks really cool and I loved the plot of the story. I think I'll be reading more of Jackson Pearce's books in the future.

this is the most love strucken heartbreak ever so sweet so much BETRAYAL

A fun read. Like the twist on Red Riding Hood and company, and especially that the Fenris were one-dimensional, ruthless, unfeeling things. The Fenris lure, deceive and eat girls - especially pretty, flirty ones, it seems - but I don't (thankfully) detect any irritating misogynistic commentary, i.e. girls that dress/act a certain way should expect the wrong kind of attention and not be surprised when they do. Also, this version could make a wicked graphic novel in the style of the cover.
