A delightful book chronicling the intertwining stories of a series of misfits living in 'castle waiting.' It is tender, funny, and imaginative. Well worth a read for any age or interest.

Alternately hilarious and tender, this story (within a story within a story within a story, at times) is lovely and fun. It combines fairy tales, fairy tale elements, and heart, and is well-drawn. I was hard-pressed to pic a favorite character, and I can't wait to continue the adventure in volume 2! :)

I recommend this for fans of fairy tales, wry humor, graphic novels that tell stories, imagination, and medieval fantasy.

Other reviews have called this graphic novel charming, whimsical, ironic, unique and hilarious. I fully agree! A series of interconnected tales - the first is a re-telling of Sleeping Beauty and sheds some light on the origins of Castle Waiting- are also examples of friendship, caring for others and loyalty. Not all the characters' background are explained, and this may frustrate some readers. However, the tales contained in vol. 1, such as Sister Peace and the nuns of Saint Wilgeforte are satisfying in themselves. I, for one, am looking forward to vol. 2

A totally engaging read! I'm new to graphic novels and I really loved it. Funny, thoughtful and not at all what you'd expect.

The story changes all the time and is sometimes hard to follow. It borrows some Christian stories ideas. Book layout is in comic book style, with many chapters.
