Amy Poehler does an amazing job embedding anecdotes of wisdom into her life stories. While I'm not rich and famous, Poehler writes with sincere honesty that makes her stories relatable and approachable. While I was mesmerized with some stories, I was surprised with how Poehler was able to put words to ways I've felt but couldn't express. This makes a reader like myself more responsive to the wisdom Poehler shares based on her life experiences. Honestly, after listening to this audiobook I took a hard look at my life and thought about the effort (or lack there of) that I've put forth. Her voice is one that I trust, not to tell me what to do but to ask me to be self reflective and make decisions for myself. Her experiences are of that as a woman who doesn't want to apologize for being a woman, and those stories have the ability to embolden and empower. This book makes me want to be a self-fulfilled woman, and I'm glad I invested the time in Poehler.
