This book was such a frustrating read. The story lacks focus, is very poorly edited, and the characters are unbelievable. The 'Christian' platitudes sprinkeld throughout feel inauthentic and forced. The start of the book has promise, but it falls into a pit of pointless scenes and dialogue without purpose. All I could ask myself as I read was "Why was this published?" I plugged through it only because I have read and enjoyed other books by Lori Wick. It never improved, and the main character remained a weak, wounded woman who's 'trauma' never seemed severe enough to me to warrant her wimpy behaviour. Save your time and pick another book to read.
