Lorenzo's Oil is a 1992 American drama film directed by George Miller. It is based on the true story of Augusto and Michaela Odone, who conducted a relentless search for a cure for their son Lorenzo's adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD)---a disease so rare that nobody is working on a cure. It is a horror to watch the son's health decline, and the background music---Mozart's Ave verum corpus---would exacebate your pain while watching his agony. This is an immensely moving and mind-boggling movie.
